Is Al Jefferson better than Carlos Boozer?
I don’t think he is per say better than Boozer. Boozer was great for this team but playing along side Mehmet Okur they where very soft inside. But Jefferson is at least a much bigger body than Boozer. And I believe is slightly more motivated. This will be Jefferson’s first chance at playing on a great team with a great point guard. I have no idea why Minnesota would trade him but he was definitely a great pickup for this team. Deron Williams will make any post player better because of his ability to penetrate. He is one of the best players in the game. But Boozer isn’t the only player this team lost. Arguably their best bench player and starting shooting guard in Korver and Brewer followed Boozer to the Windy City. I am not a fan of CJ Miles, Okur is another year older, and the same goes for Kirelenko. Their bench is depleted with Paul Millsap really being their only option. I do not think this will ne a great year for them and will most likely conclude with a first round playoff exit. Going after Caron Butler in next years free agency or try to acquire one of the Mavs centers Haywood or Chandler are the best moves I think this team can make in the near future. The Pistons might be willing to part with some of their older guys for Paul Millsap. Rip Hamilton and Teyshaun Prince could be nice additions to this team if that becomes available.
