How much better does Amare make us?
Amare is a great player and I believe is worth 20 million a year. He will finally get the spotlight and have all the expectations of New York City. Personally I think he will thrive in this type of environment. He seems like a guy of high character and not the type to be over whelmed. The obvious goal now is to get Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul. These three could easily give Miami a run for their money. But for now I say that this team has improved from last year. Raymond Felton was a good pick up to run the point. Azubuke if healthy will fight for time with Wilson Chandler and they will be a good 1 2 punch. And then Anthony Randolph and Danilo Gallinari probably both of which the most likely trade bait will create mismatches as tall 3s. They could also choose to go small with this roster putting Amare at center Randolph and Gallinari in the game which would create mismatches all over. Things are definitely looking up in New York and Donnie Walsh and Mike D'antoni should be very happy with their summer work.
