What Now?
The worst team in the NBA didn’t hit the jackpot this summer and then they did the worst thing off all, panicked and spent money on mediocre players. This team will not compete for a title for along time but what they will do is improve dramatically from last season. Terrance Williams looked very impressive in summer league and will be a good player for them. Courtney Lee will likely slot in at the two and a player I like in Derrick Favors will start immediately. Now this lineup certainly does not make you tremble but they are not weak at any position. Lopez and Harris will have to lead the way but under no circumstance can I picture the not winning at least 25 games. They are a young team that certainly has time to let its players grow. But they have a very impatient owner. Look for this team to be active in trades. Who they will trade and what for I am not sure. The prospect of playing in Brooklyn clearly was not attractive to the players as Jay Z and the Russian thought. They will go after Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony but I can’t see them landing either.
