How do we become an elite NBA team?
Every elite team needs a superstar. Brandon Jennings is a good point guard but with the NBA being so point guard heavy you need more than that. Drew Gooden was a bad signing. When teams get impatient they make bad decisions. And what Gooden does to this team is say that we are ok with mediocrity. John Salmons was a good resign but he is also not a star per say. The Bucks will win enough games to make the playoffs but need a difference maker type player to move this team up to elite status. They have good pieces in play but need one star but unfortunately Milwaukee isn’t much of a free agent hot spot. So that means they have to take chances on players they can get. Bogut is not getting any younger so I would go for it now. But where to go? My first thought is Antwan Jamison. You give Cleveland Corey Maggette (to fill their small forward whole) and either a John Brockman or Chris Douglas Roberts and they would be happy to give him up so they can free up playing time for Hickson and lose a big contract. Bogut Jamison Salmons Delfino and Jennings is definitely a team that can score and still being able to bring Gooden off the bench will give them some defensive presence up front. Just a thought but action has definitely has to be taken because the Bucks do not have the players to compete right now.
