Will the LAkers win three in a row?
In this total shift of power from West to East they should theoretically have an easier time getting through the West. Dallas and Oklahoma City will be dangerous as Dallas matches up well and Oklahoma creates mismatch problems but I like everyone else expect them to make it back to the championship game. As for winning it is very close to say. Pau is at the age where bigs start to get much slower and it’s not clear whether he has already begun to take that hit. The Celtics are huge up front and guys like Shaq and Jermaine O’Neal will draw fouls to opposing bigs. And with the loss of Powell they do not have much depth at the 4 and 5 after Odom. Kobe is also another year older and who know how much longer he will be able to stay with Rondo. We know fisher can’t and they lost Jordan Farmer to the nets. Miami however I believe the Lakers would match up much better against. Matt Barnes was brought in with the sole purpose of helping on Wade and James. He is becoming the new Bruce Bowen and should do a good job tag teaming with Ron Artest. Bosh and Gasol will in a way cancel each other out so it should be a very competitive series. Orlando is truly about stopping Howard. I don’t think Orlando will reach the final but if they do Bynum has to be healthy or I would honestly say it could go to 7 games. Howard is working hard to get better and if he can find an offensive game he could become the most dominant player in the league. The Lakers will certainly have their work cut out for them. And I would have to go with no; they will not three peat again.
