Yao Ming?
Isn't he the only worthwhile question when talking about the Rockets. Is he healthy, is he going to retire? I say he will say that he will always have to fight through injuries for the rest of his career but I say no to this being Yaos last season. Centers in the NBA are so bad their will always be a need for centers who can score. As seen with Ilgauskas (just an example Yao is much better that Ilgauskas) and because of his size can never truly be a defensive liability. Does Yao healthy make this team a contender, probably the team with the most outside chance. Yao has to be at his best in the post season and ready to play bigger minutes. And with Brad Miller, Jordan Hill, Luis Scola and now Patrick Patterson on the front line I believe they have good enough players to give Yao breaks. Kevin Martin and Aaron Brooks could make up one the best backcourts in the NBA and even appear on our top 5 list on the home page. Trevor Ariza and Shane Battier are a great defensive tag team at the 3 and can take turns on Oklahoma Cities Kevin Durant, Denvers Carmelo Anthony, and Miami’s Lebron James rendering them capable of playing anyone. Houston has got a solid team and if Yao can get to the playoffs in one piece, they will be a team no one wants to play.
