Will Carmelo stay?
It is unlikely. New York seems like the perfect situation for Carmelo. Chauncey is getting old and Kenyon Martin can not stay healthy. Nene is a top notch big man but this is not a championship team. New York is a place Carmelo would love to live. His new wife works for MTV so I’m sure it’s better for her career to be based in a city like New York. And New York has their eyes set on their own three headed monster of Amare, Carmelo and Chris Paul. So would I trade Carmelo and cut my losses? No. Not now at least. Maybe Kobe gets injured and the West opens up. Denver will certainly be in the running. And then if he decides to leave at the end of this year agree to do a sign and trade with New York and get try and get Anthony Randolph. A promising long athletic forward, who would play well in a George Carl system. Ty Lawson looks to be also a good piece for the future.
